Flat Roof Insulation
Proper insulation is essential for energy efficiency, Building Regulations compliance, and preventing condensation. We install and upgrade flat roof insulation for domestic and commercial properties.
Flat Roof Insulation Systems
We specify the most appropriate insulation for your project — meeting Building Regulations and achieving the best thermal performance.
PIR Board (Polyisocyanurate)
Most popular choiceThe most thermally efficient rigid insulation board — achieves the required U-value at minimum thickness.
EPS (Expanded Polystyrene)
Budget-friendlyCost-effective rigid board insulation. Good performance, widely used in warm roof systems.
Phenolic Foam
Space-limited roofsThe highest thermal performance per mm — ideal where headroom is very limited.
Mineral Wool
Cold roof systemsBreathable, fire-resistant insulation used in cold roof systems and between joists.
Tapered Insulation
Drainage improvementCustom-cut boards that create a slope for drainage — solving ponding problems without structural changes.
Inverted Roof
Commercial roofsInsulation placed on top of the waterproofing layer — protects the membrane and simplifies maintenance.
Meeting U-Value Requirements
Building Regulations Part L requires a U-value of 0.18 W/m²K or better for new flat roofs. When replacing a flat roof, upgrading insulation at the same time is the most cost-effective approach.
- New flat roofs: 0.18 W/m²K required
- Renovation works: 0.18 W/m²K target, min. 0.25 W/m²K
- We calculate required insulation thickness
- Building control approval support
- Energy-saving benefit for homeowners
- Prevents condensation within the roof build-up
