GRP Fibreglass Roofing
GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) fibreglass is the most popular flat roofing system for domestic extensions in the UK. Seamless, rigid, and extremely durable — with a 25–40 year lifespan.
Advantages of GRP Fibreglass Roofing
GRP combines ease of installation with outstanding durability — making it the go-to system for new extensions and roof replacements.
Completely Seamless
Applied as a liquid and cured in place — no joins means no seams that can fail and leak.
Rigid & Impact Resistant
GRP is significantly more rigid than rubber membranes, resisting impact and foot traffic.
Any Colour Finish
Available in a full range of RAL colours — match your property or choose a contemporary look.
Walk-On Capable
With a non-slip topcoat, GRP is suitable for roof terraces and balconies.
Cold-Applied
No hot works required — GRP can be installed in cooler conditions when other systems cannot.
25–40 Year Lifespan
A properly installed GRP roof will last decades with only minimal maintenance required.
How GRP Fibreglass is Installed
GRP is applied as a liquid system directly to the prepared roof deck. Fibreglass matting is laid and saturated with laminating resin, which cures to create a rigid, seamless surface. A coloured topcoat is applied to finish.
- Plywood deck prepared and primed
- Fibreglass matting laid in resin
- System cures to hard, rigid surface
- Edge trim and upstands fully bonded
- Coloured topcoat applied — any RAL colour
- Full inspection before handover
